Curtains
SPACE (The Society for the Preservation of Art and Culture in Evanston) is a music performance space in a a beautiful old brick building. To create a storage area, we added a velour curtain on a track across one whole wall. On the wall behind the stage we added a cotton scrim curtain with metallic strips in a grid pattern, which, when lit with stage lights, makes a flexible, sophisticated backdrop. A large graphic treatment in the corner unites the two curtains and softens the straight lines of the room.
